⋆ GERMANY AND ITS PEOPLE ⋆
"Scheltet mir nicht die Deutschen! Wenn sie auch Träumer sind, so haben doch manche unter ihnen so schöne Träume geträumt,
daß ich sie kaum vertauschen möchte gegen die wachende Wirklichkeit unserer Nachbarn."
Germany is a diverse country with a long history and tradition. German composers like Bach, Schumann, Beethoven, and Wagner are known around the globe, and the works of Goethe, Schiller, and Schopenhauer are well honored. As a predominantly Christian country, Germany is shaped by many protestant and catholic traditions and holidays where people come together to have a good time. Today, German architecture reflects the rich history and the cultural heritage of the nation. In general, Germans are well-disposed people who cultivate good manners and place importance on family and friends. It is not a stereotype that Germans embrace the values of courtesy, industriousness, and order. Germans take pride in their work and their products and services are characterized by quality. The people are social and also libertine. Another great virtue is that people are straightforward and don't like to beat around the bush.
