This subsection of American History IS NOT about a single group of Americans. It points out American achievements towards a more perfect union, made by common citizens., regardless of their heritage. Also, it emphasizes the self-evident fact that ALL AMERICAN LIVES matters. Racism today takes place against Whites, Browns, and Blacks. The question remains, are these groups supported by non-Americans, or traitors? An All American approach to this question can be seen as American Nationalism, precisely because there are black, brown and white patriots who share the same American values.



The arc of American History almost inevitably moves toward freedom. Whether it´s Lincoln and the Emancipation Proclamation,

the  expansion of women´s rights or, now, gay rights. I think there is an almost-inevitable march toward greater civil liberties.
